Dr Pedro Gomes is an academic economist at Birkbeck, University of London and is passionate about the four-day working week.

In conversation with Dr Pamela Yeow, Assistant Dean for External Engagement in the School of Business, Economics and Informatics, Pedro will share recent research and successful examples of the four-day working week from his recently published book, Friday is the New Saturday. The book received glowing reviews from the Financial TimesThe Telegraph and The Times.

Pedro and Pam will discuss how our society is ready for this change and what benefits this will bring us as employees, employers and the wider economy.
